Flownex SE —
thermal-hydraulic system
simulation software
Flownex SE is the leading 1D thermal-hydraulic network simulator for power plants, oil & gas pipelines, nuclear circuits, rocket propulsion systems, and HVAC. Entire fluid systems — thousands of components — solved in seconds. Official licensing and English-speaking support available in Ukraine through CADFEM Ukraine.
The system simulator for thermal-hydraulic engineering
Flownex SE is a 1D thermal-hydraulic network simulation platform developed by m-tech (South Africa) and part of the ANSYS partner ecosystem. It models entire fluid systems — steam power plant cycles, gas pipeline networks, nuclear cooling circuits, rocket propellant feed systems — as networks of interconnected 1D elements solved simultaneously in a single model.
Unlike 3D CFD (ANSYS Fluent), Flownex SE gives system engineers the answer they actually need in design: which pump to select, what the system operating point is, how the system responds to a trip or shutdown, and what happens to pressure in the piping network when a valve closes too fast. CADFEM Ukraine is the official Flownex SE distributor in Ukraine providing licenses, English-language training, and thermal-hydraulic consulting.
Flownex SE vs ANSYS Fluent (CFD)
Flownex and Fluent answer different engineering questions. Together via ANSYS Workbench coupling, they provide both system-level and component-level fidelity.
