A local installation takes 1 to 3 hours depending on the number of products. A network installation with licence server configuration takes 4 to 8 hours. HPC clusters are configured individually and may take from 1 to several business days.
Can an ANSYS licence be transferred to another computer?
Yes. CADFEM Ukraine provides new licence files free of charge when migrating systems to another computer or server, or when upgrading hardware. This is one of our commitments to clients.
Is a specialist required to install ANSYS?
For a local installation an experienced user can install ANSYS independently. However, for network installation or HPC cluster configuration it is recommended to engage our certified engineers — this guarantees correct system operation.
Does ANSYS support Linux?
Yes. Most ANSYS products support Red Hat Enterprise Linux and compatible distributions (CentOS, Rocky Linux). Linux is particularly popular for HPC clusters. macOS is not officially supported.
What to do if ANSYS stopped launching?
Contact CADFEM Ukraine technical support. The most common causes are: licence expiry, changed IP or MAC address, licence server issues. We typically resolve these within one business day.
Can multiple ANSYS versions be installed simultaneously?
Yes. ANSYS supports parallel installation of multiple versions on the same computer. This is useful when transitioning to a new version — you can test the new version alongside the stable one.
